Green School: Global Citizenship-Marine Environment

St. Teresa's  N.S. is currently working on the Green Schools’ theme ‘Global Citizenship - Marine Environment’. We are in the second year of the two year programme and we hope to receive our  green flag next Spring. All classes have completed and displayed projects and artwork based on this theme. We are working on reducing the amount of plastic we use and throw away in school and have done several clean ups so as to prevent marine litter reaching the marine environment.

SCIENCE WEEK 2018 :)

Science Week 2018… Another Successful Science Filled Week J

The children went above and beyond this year with their amazing homemade science-based costumes for our Annual Science Dress-Up Day!!!

When it came to investigating and exploring what science is all about the children surpassed themselves with their own research and experiments. Many children brought in their own materials and became Junior Scientists for the week. This really is what Science Week is all about.. the teachers love when the children get so involved in what we are doing during these fun themed based weeks.

I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the children and their families who helped make this week such a huge success!!!
AND REMEMBER…. Science experiments are not just for Science Week. We encourage the children to keep exploring and to bring in experiments of their own throughout the year too J

Many thanks,
Ms. Walsh
