Friday's Fun Activities during Active Schools Week 2018:)

Friday was a fun filled day whereby the children got to experience Taekwondo with Jonathan and Hayley Dowling.  Jonathan trains children in Taekwondo in  Fenit and Ballyheigue; is a world champion and also has three Black Belts to his name. Hayley isn’t far behind him with two black belts!! They ensured every child was challenged and learned some of the techniques and skills of this tough martial art.  The children enjoyed themselves immensely, impressing us all with their determination and focus!!  On behalf of the school, I want to say a huge thank you to Jonathan and Hayley for being so brilliant with the children who loved every second of the day J

The Parents’ Association were very hard at work all day. They did a fantastic job with the Bake Sale and selling all the delicious treats that the parents and children worked so hard to create!! To top it all off they also held a surprise raffle for the children of the school where some fantastic prizes were won including a Day-Trip to Dáil Éireann J

Mr. Hayes and all of Senior Infants were very creative and really embraced the theme of being active and healthy. The class made some very tasty fruit smoothies using an array of delicious healthy ingredients J

It’s safe to say that Active Schools Week was a great success!!!

A huge thank you to all involved from myself, Ms Walsh and all the staff at St. Teresa's National School:)
